Makeup and Hair Class Supplies and Schedule for Stage Makeup
Our dance school will be hosting makeup and hairstyling workshops to help students and parents prepare stage-ready looks for the upcoming performances on January 18 and June 14.Please see the details below.
Important Information
All parents need to bring your makeup supplies to the studio on the day of the makeup class. Under the guidance of the teacher, parents will learn and practice how to put on stage makeup for their children step by step. Please refer to Part 2 of this page for the makeup class schedule.
- We suggest new students to prepare a cosmetic bag and put all the items in it. It is more convinent to bring your make up stuff to the theater during the performance.
- It is also convenient to keep your items, which will also be used for next year's performances.It is recommended to choose a small size when purchasing supplies if you or your child do not need makeup often.
- All the supplies can be found in stores like Superstore, Winners, London Drugs, Shoppers, etc.
Part1：List of essential supplies for makeup and hair classes
- Supplies Needed for Hair:
- Comb.
- Hair ties.
- Hair spray.
- Hair net.
- Various pins: bobby pins, hair pins, and snap clips.
- Supplies needed for makeup:
- Foundation (one shade lighter than your skin color).
- Sponge or beautyblender for foundation.
- Eyebrow pencil with eyebrow brush. Dark brown.
- Eye shadow palette (the color of eyeshadow for each group is decided by their costumes. Please check the next section for eyeshadow).
- Glitter, please check with your teacher to see if it is needed.
- Brush set (the picture is a complete set of makeup brushes).
- Black eyeliner pencil or liquid eyeliner.
- Mascara (black).
- False eyelashes and false eyelashes glue.
- Blush (pink).
- Contouring and highlighting.
- lipstick (red).
- Setting powder or setting spray.
Part 2: Makeup and Hair Class Schedule and Eyeshadow Color
- The color of the eyeshadow is determined according to the costume of the performance, so the eyeshadow color required varies from year to year. If you come across a suitable multi-color eyeshadow palette, you can prepare one in advance.
- The color for each group below is a suggestion. If you have similar color on your multi-color eyeshadow, you do not have to buy a new one.
Ballet Standard Level
- B101-2: Dec. 18th, Wednesday, 4:30-5:20pm, Light pink front, light blue back.
- B101-3: Dec. 13th, Saturday, 2:30-3:20pm, Purple front, blue back.
- B101-4: Dec. 14th, Sunday, 5:50-6:40pm, Gold front, brown back.
- B103-1: Dec. 16th, Tuesday, 4:30-5:50pm, Pink front, dark pink back.
- B103-4: Dec. 13th, Saturday, 3:30-4:50pm, Light pink front, red back
