Scholarship Program
Scholarship name: Dance Achievement.
Amount $200. For all Chinese Dance and Ballet advanced and pre-advanced students. One per group.
- Application conditions:
- The 2024-25 school year-end exam transcript is A-, A, or A+.
- In the 2024-25 school year, no more than three absences throughout the year.
- Complete homework carefully, do not lose homework papers, and have a completion rate of 85% or more.
- Do not be late or leave early for class, and dress and tie your hair according to the class requirements for each class.
- Actively participate in dance performances, classroom presentations, dance workshops, or dance exchange activities in the dance school.
- Application materials:
- A summary of the school year. Please state your feelings, achievements and growth related to dance learning in this school year. It can include text, video, photos, etc.
- Year-end exam transcript (no need to provide it yourself).
- Application method:
- Submit application materials to the dance school by email between May 1 and May 20, 2025.
- On June 15, 2025, the winners will be announced and the scholarship will be awarded during the Year-end Recital.
- Judging criteria: This scholarship project will be judged by a points system. The applicant with the highest points in each group will receive this scholarship.
- 3 points for A+ from the year-end exam of the 2024-25 school year.
- 2 points for A from the year-end exam of the 2024-25 school year.
- 1 point for A- from the year-end exam of 2024-25.
- 1 point for no more than three absences (including make-up classes) in the 2024-25 school year.
- 1 point for no homework papers are lost and 85% or higher completion rate of the homework.
- 1 point for attending one dance performance, classroom presentation, dance workshop, or dance exchange activity in the dance school.
- 1 point from the teacher to the student who has no lateness or early departure and dress and hair according to class requirements.
- The teachers from our dance school will vote on the school year summary in the application materials and the highest number of votes will receive 1 point.
Scholarship name: Dance Competition Achievement.
Amount $200. For solo/duet/trio students. A total of 2 recipients.
- Application conditions:
- Solo/duet/trio students who actively participate in various dance competitions in and outside the dance school in the 2024-25 school year.
- Application Materials:
- A summary of the competition, stating the dance competitions and awards participated in this school year, as well as the feelings and growth related to the dance competitions, can be included in the form of text, video, photos, etc.
- Application method:
- Submit application materials to the dance school by email between May 1 and May 20, 2025.
- On June 15, 2025, the winners will be announced and the scholarship will be awarded during the Year-end Recital.
- Judging criteria: This scholarship application will be judged by a points system. The two applicants with the highest points will receive this scholarship.
- 1 point for every competition attended, including competitions within and outside the dance school.
- 3 points for each first-class award of solo/duet/trio received in various competitions.
- 2 points for each second-class award of solo/duet/trio received in various competitions.
- 1 point for each third-class and lower award of solo/duet/trio received in various competitions.
- 1 point for each special award or judges' choice award of solo/duet/trio received in various competitions.
- 1 point for each top 10 ranking of solo/duet/trio received in various competitions.
- The teachers from our dance school will vote on the competition summary in the application materials and the maximum number of votes will receive 1 point.
Scholarship name: Dance Volunteer.
Amount $100, for all students in the advanced and pre-advanced classes of Chinese Dance and Ballet. A total of 3 recipients.
- Application conditions:
- Actively volunteer for dance performances, dance workshops, or dance exchange activities in the dance school.
- Application materials:
- Dance activity volunteer certification letter for the 24-25 school year. After each activity in the dance school, a certification letter will be sent to the volunteers. Please submit it when applying.
- Photos of the applicant with the name of the activity for each volunteer activity.
- A summary of the school year, stating the stories, related feelings, and growth of participating in volunteer activities this school year, which can be in the form of text, video, photos, etc.
- Application method:
- Submit application materials to the dance school by email between May 1 and May 20, 2025.
- On June 15, 2025, the winners will be announced and the scholarship will be awarded during the Year-end Recital.
- Judging criteria: This scholarship program will be judged by a points system. The three applicants with the highest points will receive this scholarship.
- 1 point for each time you volunteer for an in-school event (dance performance, dance competition, classroom demonstration, workshop model, video shooting model, etc.).
- The teachers from our dance school will vote on the application letter in the application materials, and the maximum number of votes can be 1 point.
- The above points are only based on the volunteer activity certificate letter(s) submitted in the application materials.
- Special note: Teaching assistants for daily courses fall under the category of the “Excellence Program" for training teachers, so they are not included in this scholarship selection.
You Are Welcome to Support Our Students!
Parents who are willing to support students of the dance school are also welcome to set up their own scholarship programs. You can decide the name, the scope, the evaluation criteria, the amount, and other terms of your scholarship. The school will not charge any administrative or other fees to manage these scholarships.
