• Yoyo Dance Day Camp

    In order to support parents and to improve students' dancing skills, Yoyo School of Dancing has specially launched day camps during the school teachers' strike.

  • Day Camp 1: For Ballet/Chinese Dance pre-competitive and competitive level 1-4 (age 8-12)

    • Class code: DPC01.
    • Time and Date: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. It will begin on October 6 and end when students return to school.
    • Location: Chappelle Studio A (8993 Carson Way).
    • Fee: $457.99/week (GST included). Students who are currently enrolled in Yoyo School of Dancing for the 2025-26 school year will receive a 10% discount bringing the price to $412.19.

    • Daily Schedule:
      • 8:30-9am, Students arrive at the school.
      • 9-10:30am, First lesson.
      • 10:30am-12pm, Second lesson.
      • 12-1pm, Lunch break.
      • 1-2:15pm, Third lesson.
      • 2:15-3:30pm, Forth lesson.
      • 3:30pm, Students leaving school.
    • Lesson Schedule: The following is a one week (5 days) course with 4 lessons per day. Content will include the below themes:
      • Flexibility training.
      • Ballet training.
      • Dance combinations.
      • Strength, techniques, and games.
      • Cartwheels and aerial training.
      • Watch dance movies or awarded dances.
    • Teachers: Tongtong, Jinjin, Tracy, Esther, Coach Yang, Ashley.

    Day Camp 2: For Ballet/Chinese Dance pre-competitive - Junior/Senior (age 6-10)

    • Class code: DPC02.
    • Time and Date: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. It will begin on October 6 and end when students return to schools.
    • Location: Chappelle Studio B (8993 Carson Way).
    • Fee: $457.99/week (GST included). Students who are currently enrolled in Yoyo School of Dancing for the 2025-26 school year will receive a 10% discount bringing the price to $412.19.

    • Class code: DC01.
    • Time and Date: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. It will begin on October 6 and end when students return to schools.
    • Location: Ambleside Studio (#211 6271 Andrews Loop).
    • Fee: $457.99/week (GST included). Students who are currently enrolled in Yoyo School of Dancing for the 2025-26 school year will receive a 10% discount bringing the price to $412.19.

    • Daily Schedule:
      • 8:30-9am, Students arrive at the school.
      • 9-10:30am, First lesson.
      • 10:30am-12pm, Second lesson.
      • 12-1pm, Lunch break.
      • 1-2:15pm, Third lesson.
      • 2:15-3:30pm, Forth lesson.
      • 3:30pm, Students leaving school.

  • How to register

    Special Reminder

    • Registration for the day camps are on weekly basis.
    • Fees are due for the next week on every Friday.
    • At the end of the strike, any remaining fees will be refunded via direct deposit.
    • The day camp is open to both internal and external students. The 10% tuition discount applies only to students who are enrolled in the 2025-2026 school year.

    Please Note

    • Each camp requires a minimum of six participants.
    • Students are required to bring their own unheated lunch, snacks, and water for breaks.
    • Indoor shoes or dance shoes are required for the camp. Appropriate attire for exercise and dance is recommended.

    Registration procedure

    • If you are a current student at the dance school (25-26 school year):
      • You do not need to complete the registration form again.
      • Please send the fee ($412.19) to payment@yoyodance.ca, put the student's name, current class number, and the desired day camp class code in the note.
      • A receipt and class start notice will be sent to your email.
      • Please also provide a void check or PAD form (available for download through online banking) to facilitate a refund of the remaining tuition. If you have already submitted this form, you do not need to submit it again.
    • If you are not a current student at the dance school:
      • Please click the link below to complete the registration form.
      • Send the fee ($457.99) to payment@yoyodance.ca and include your name and day camp class code.
      • A receipt and class start notice will be sent to your email.
